Es gibt zwei zeitgenössische Museen. In einem authentischen Whare Nui (Versammlungshaus) finden eindrucksvolle kulturelle Darbietungen der Māori statt. Es gibt informative Führungen und ein ansprechendes Besucherzentrum. Üppige einheimische Wälder und Gärten. Die inspirierende Kunstgalerie und das Schnitzatelier sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Außerdem gibt es hier traditionelle Māori-Waka (Kanus) und Hāngi, ein ruhiges Café und vieles mehr.
