Das Pukaha Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre ist eine Auffangstation für einige der am stärksten bedrohten Vögel des Landes, die in Gefangenschaft gezüchtet werden. Mount Bruce liegt in einem alten Waldgebiet 30 Kilometer nördlich von Masterton im unteren Teil der Nordinsel und ist eine äußerst lehrreiche Erfahrung. Außerdem macht es großen Spaß.

Der Park umfasst auch ein Kiwihaus und ein Feuchtgebiet.
