Der beliebteste Spaziergang im Reservat ist der südliche Teil des Parks. Diese familienfreundliche Wanderung ist für alle Altersgruppen geeignet. Folgen Sie dem 5 km langen Weg, der sich durch den neuseeländischen Wald schlängelt.
Gehen Sie auf Tuchfühlung mit einheimischen Vögeln wie dem Kaka, werfen Sie einen Blick in die Weta-Nistkästen und erklimmen Sie den Aussichtsturm, um den Wald aus der Vogelperspektive zu betrachten. Das Reservat ist von einem 47 km langen, raubtiersicheren Zaun umgeben und umfasst auch das Tautari-Feuchtgebiet, in dem einheimische und uralte Tuatara und Vögel leben.
